The complex rises over the sea on the northern coast of Sicily, circa 50 kilometres from Messina, and overlooks the Lipari Islands which are reachable in 30 minutes by boat. The surrounding landscape is of rare beauty, which can equally compete with the more renowned tourist paradises. It boasts the famous salt lakes and shallows (U Marisiccu) that border "Baia dei Miracoli" which is characterised by its calm and clear water, even when a storm rises in the sea beyond the shallows. From Tindari's Black Madonna Sanctuary, a site of constant pilgrimage, one can enjoy the breathtaking view of the bay, the lakes, the Lipari Islands and the coast all the way to Capo di Milazzo. Near the sanctuary, one can admire the remains of the ancient Greek city of Tyndaris (396 B.C) and the amphitheatre, which hosts theatre performances each summer. The climate is particularly pleasant and the year long warm temperature is accompanied by a sea breeze, easing the hot summer climate and making your stay more comfortable.
